Thursday Morning Movie

When the alarm went off this morning at 5:30 am I wasnt very happy. This morning was set aside to sleep in, that was until I recieved the email about the second chance to see the movie that we missed because of techinical difficulties on Tuesday. I got up, wiped the sleep from my eyes, looked at my reflection in the bathroom mirror, and had an economic insight.

So here I am, I weighed the opportunity costs of heading to class this morning to watch a movie to perhaps get some bonus points on the final.... which I may or may not get because there would have been a very good chance I would have fallen asleep in a dark classroom. Instead, I decided to sleep in 2 1/2 hours, eat a good breakfast, and write a post to the econ blog. The econ blog here is 15% of our grade, and required to post to in order to gain points. Therefore I figured even if this post only earns me a single point towords the blogging grade, one earned point in hand is worth more than 3 theoretical points in the future, at least until we open a market experiment in the class where we can trade points back and forth for profit. Either way it might be a fun idea. I have a surplus of sleep for once, $10 dollars in my pocket not spent on gas, but im sure I missed a fabulous movie.
